Kellie Martin is an American film, television as well as stage actor. Her most well-known roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) in the period drama Christy'; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Also, she is known for being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin was born to an employee of a department store and a kindergarten instructor. She began acting at seven years old when her Aunt, who was a nanny in Michael Landon's family, helped Martin to be an actor on the 1982 television series Father Murphy. Following her graduation at Yale University she began to pursue acting with a seriousness with roles that she was able to land on the smaller screen as well as on the big. Martin has also been as a dancer and photographer. Two daughters are hers, she's the Lupus ambassador and has been spreading awareness of the illness each day following the passing of her sister at the age of 19.
